When to use Tracking (DM)

Use when sending addressed mail and you want to track which specific recipients engaged โ€” but without offering a redeemable voucher.

How It Works

Each recipient gets a unique tracking code that:

  1. Records their scan (you know exactly who responded)
  2. Optionally captures additional details
  3. Redirects to your chosen URL

No voucher redemption, no discount โ€” just powerful tracking of who engaged with your mail.

Creating a DM Tracking Campaign

1. Start a New Campaign

From your dashboard, click New Campaign and select ๐Ÿ“Š Tracking (DM).

2. Set Campaign Details

  • Campaign Name โ€” Internal reference
  • Destination URL โ€” Where to redirect after tracking
  • Landing Page โ€” Optional interstitial before redirect

3. Generate Tracking Codes

Same process as voucher codes:

  1. Set quantity to match your mailing list
  2. Optionally add a prefix
  3. Click Generate

4. Export for Print

Download CSV or ZIP with QR images, just like voucher campaigns.

Matching Responders to Your Data

The power of DM tracking is linking scans back to your mailing list:

  1. Export codes and assign to your mailing list rows
  2. Keep a record: Code โ†’ Recipient Name/Address
  3. After the campaign, export scans
  4. Match scanned codes back to your list
Example Workflow

Your list:

John Smith, 123 High Street โ†’ Code: FEB-A7K3M2

Jane Doe, 456 Main Road โ†’ Code: FEB-B8L4N3

After campaign:

Scan recorded: FEB-A7K3M2 โ†’ John Smith engaged!

What You Get

For each tracking code that's scanned:

  • Exact timestamp โ€” When they scanned
  • Code identifier โ€” Which specific recipient
  • Device info โ€” Mobile/Desktop, OS
  • Location โ€” Approximate city
  • Multiple scans โ€” If they scanned more than once

Response Rate Calculation

Your dashboard shows:

Response Rate
Unique Codes Scanned รท Codes Issued
e.g., 150 scanned / 5,000 mailed = 3.0%

Export your scan data and match to your CRM to:
