Tracking Pixels

Integrate with Facebook, Google, and other advertising platforms

What Are Tracking Pixels?

Tracking pixels are small code snippets from advertising platforms (Facebook, Google, etc.) that fire when someone visits your landing pages. They enable:

  • Retargeting — Show ads to people who scanned your QR codes
  • Conversion tracking — Measure ad campaign ROI
  • Lookalike audiences — Find new prospects similar to responders

Setting Up Tracking Pixels

1. Go to Settings

Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Tracking Pixels.

2. Add Your Pixel ID

Enter the pixel/tag ID from your advertising platform:

Facebook/Meta Pixel

Found in: Events Manager → Data Sources → Your Pixel

123456789012345
Google Ads (gtag)

Found in: Tools → Conversions → Your Conversion

AW-123456789
Google Analytics 4

Found in: Admin → Data Streams → Measurement ID

G-XXXXXXXXXX
TikTok Pixel

Found in: Events Manager → Web Events → Your Pixel

ABCD1234EFGH5678

3. Choose Where Pixels Fire

Configure which events trigger the pixel:

  • Landing Page View — When someone scans and views the offer
  • Lead Capture — When someone submits their email
  • Voucher Claimed — When they receive their voucher

Events Sent to Platforms

VoucherTrack sends standard events that platforms recognise:

VoucherTrack Event Facebook Google
Page View PageView page_view
Lead Capture Lead generate_lead
Voucher Claimed CompleteRegistration sign_up

Per-Campaign Pixels

You can also add campaign-specific pixels that only fire for that campaign:

  1. Edit the campaign
  2. Go to Advanced Settings → Tracking
  3. Add campaign-specific pixel IDs

Useful when running campaigns for different clients who have their own pixels.

Custom Code Injection

For advanced tracking, you can inject custom JavaScript:

Header Code

Runs in <head> on all landing pages

Body Code

Runs at end of <body> on all landing pages

⚠️ Security Note

Only administrators can add custom code. Be careful with third-party scripts.

Testing Your Pixels

  1. Install the platform's browser extension (e.g., Facebook Pixel Helper)
  2. Scan a test QR code
  3. Check the extension shows the pixel firing
  4. Verify events appear in your platform's dashboard
💡 Retargeting Strategy

Build audiences of people who scanned but didn't redeem. Retarget them with reminder ads before the offer expires.
